 HOW YA LIVIN'?: A little spin today on our How Ya Livin' with a recap of this year’s UCLA Jazz and Reggae Festival; on Sunday with a line up of De La Soul (who performed hits like “Me, Myself & I”, “Saturday” and Pothouls In My Lawn“); after some 15 plus years, De La still knows how to rock a crowd and was the perfect segue to headliner Erykah Badu! She took command of the stage on appearance alone, dressed in grey hoodie top with a Jewish black brim hat, tight patent leather pants and 5 inch heels, Erykah kicked off the set with some funky sounds and songs from her latest album "Nu AmErykah" to classic tracks from her catalog of hits. The highlight of her show was watching her get her Kanye West on as she made beats using a 808 machine! Ms. Badu let the media and haters alike know she might have been gone off the scene and got three baby’s daddies but that they shouldn't be so quick to judge - she is who she gonna be!
