WE HONOR YOU: Today we applaud another hip hop power broker who's made an impact on the urban music industry through countless efforts from the streets to the executive suite - none other than rap producer Sha Money XL. The Queens, NY native made a name for himself under the guidance of iconic hip hop figure Jam Master Jay, and went on to play an integral part in the launch of rap titan 50 Cent's career. From the ground up, they birthed the successful empire known to the world as G-Unit while Sha continued to produce for some of rap music's finest and launched his Sha Money management company. Next month, the Queens music exec returns with his third annual "One Stop Shop" producers conference held in Phoenix, AZ, which is expected to draw the likes of Violator's Chris Lighty, Disturbing Tha Peace's Chaka Zulu and Brian Leach.

WE HONOR YOU: As part of our ongoing UW's Best In Black series, today we tip our hat to none other than MTV News reporter Sway. The Oakland representer made a name for himself with the start of one of the most respected radio outlets, "The Wake Up Show" along with his partner King Tech, and later joined MTV, where he's been involved in countless socially conscious efforts on the channel for programs including "Growing Up Black," "My Block," "Mixtape Monday," and most recently, the coverage of President Barack Obama's inauguration. Did we mention Sway is the last individual to interview both Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.?

In honor of this year's annual celebration of Black History Month, we decided to take a more unique route with our coverage and tap some of the folks who push the envelope behind the scenes. To kick off our first edition, UDubnews throws the spotlight on none other than Czar Entertainment founder and industry mogul Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond. The Haitian-American has played an integral role in the life of some of music's biggest stars including West Coast king The Game and legendary fellow Brooklynite the Notorious B.I.G. Over the years, Rosemond has evolved his empire into the world of film and television producing a litany of DVDs and reality shows. Most importantly, Mr. Rosemond has been acknowledged for his efforts in Haiti along with Wyclef for the Yele festival.
