ON TO THE NEXT ONE

Rapper and the latest artist to join Twitter, Kanye West, has scrapped the title for his forthcoming album. Originally 'Ye was set to call the album "Good Ass Job" but announced via tweets that he's playing with new titles "The album is no longer called 'Good Ass Job.' I'm bouncing a couple of titles around now." Kanye's first day on Twitter say his followers climb to as high as 100,000 followers, something he noted emotionally affected him “This has been an amazing first day I'm floored by the warm reception I need a moment.”

SPEAKING OF TITLES

Hip Hop's most wanted female MC, Nicki Minaj, is mulling over what to call her debut album. The Young Money star revealed that she has ideas for a few titles but hasn't settled on anything yet "But right now, it's all about the album. November 23. Nothing comes before that" Nicki told MTV. "Maybe we should call it ...The Album. Nicki Minaj: The Album. I don't know, it'll come."

A RACIST ACT

Entrepreneur Diddy, is lashing out at Nightline reporter, Martin Bashir, following his interview, after he was asked about his excessive gift for his son. Diddy is responding to Bashir, whom he dubbed a racist when the interviewer questioned Combs' $300,000 Mercedes Maybach for his young son, "There were times in the interview when I had to give him an ultimatum. The questions weren’t being handled the right way. In hindsight, when I saw him I shouldn’t had done the interview because I know the style of interview that he does . . . GET BETTER

Music icon, Al Jarreau, was hospitalized and in critical condition after falling while overseas in France. Sources say that Jarreau slipped and fell on a French mountain, and decided to admit himself to a hospital for precautionary reasons. Once admitted doctors advised Jarreau to stay put until he fully recovers. A promising note posted on his website read “once again asking about delicious local dishes he can sample …. Al greatly values the opportunity he has to share his music and joy with fans around the world.”

DID HE OR DIDN'T HE

Late yesterday, numbers were reported that rapper Rick Ross dethroned Eminem's four week stampede on the billboard charts, taking the number one slot with his fourth solo album. Early today, Soundscan reported that Eminem actually bested Ross by about 1,000 copies, showing that Ross' numbers were less than previously reported. The question; if Ross nailed his fourth number one, has made for more compelling headlines than who's actually purchasing Eminem's 1.6 million albums.

JUSTICE?

Fours years after a tragic shooting that ended the life of a groom to be, Sean Bell, and wounded two of his pals, victims Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield; have agreed to a settlement with the NYPD. According to reports, the men along with their attorneys and the wife of the late Bell, Nicole Paultre-Bell, agreed to a $7 million settlement yesterday in New York after a Federal judge approved the deal. However, one of the injured men, Joseph Guzman, says the settlement doesn't spell the end of future shootings in the city “I don’t think a black or Hispanic man’s life means much in this city.”
