| After weeks of speculation, Chicago rapper, Kanye West traveled to France to unveil his first womenswear collection during Paris Fashion Week in a Paris middle school named Lycee Henri IV. Dedicated to his mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007, the hip-hop visionary named his line “Dw,” and hoped to shirk the “celebrity” off of the title “designer” and be respected by his peers and the fashion industry.
