| Wunderkid rapper Drake has teamed up with Chris Brown for a special collaboration. The Toronto upstart revealed the news during an interview with TV show Extra "I've been working all night. I've just been in the studio. I was actually in the studio with Chris Brown for a little bit. Then I was studio hopping, seeing where I can lend my hand since I've done mine." |

| The NAACP is the latest organization to throw their weight behind the highly controversial legalization of marijuana, citing an increase of minority arrests over the drug. According to the Drug Policy Alliance, blacks are more likely to be arrested versus whites for possession of marijuana resulting in the NAACP's "unconditional endorsement" to legalize the green leaf. |

| Coming off the heels of singer Chris Brown's mind blowing Michael Jackson tribute at this past Sunday's BET awards industry insiders around agree the crooner's troubles are far behind him and his back to his old self. One strong supporter of Brown's, Jermaine Jackson, says the public should forgive him and move on "He’s a human being like all others, we all make mistakes" Jackson told Extra. "What he did was wrong. I love Rihanna… I’m one of his biggest fans… We can’t condemn him because of what happened. We hope he learns from this,” Jackson told TV news show Extra.

| Singer Lauryn Hill is looking to make a complete comeback following years of hiatus. The rapper/singer has been making various appearances and is scheduled to rock a set at the upcoming "Rock The Bells Tour" starting next month. In a recent interview with NPRMusic, Hill elaborated on her absence from the game; "The support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it." |

| One of the police officers responsible for gunning down 23 year old Sean Bell has filed a lawsuit against the dead man's estate, angering many. Officer Michael Carey filed the federal suit in a Brooklyn court noting he suffered "serious" leg injuries when an intoxicated Bell smashed into his car. Moments after the car accident, Carey and his fellow officers engaged in a 3o something shot barrage against Bell and two others, killing Bell and seriously injuring the other men. |
